Conor McGregor’s comeback fight with Max Holloway is already getting heated. The UFC 329 main event was announced recently, and McGregor has started trash talk on social media.
Trash talk heats up
McGregor wrote directly at Holloway on social media: “I’m going to son you, child. Again. You’re going to put respect on my motherf*cking name.”
Holloway replied in kind, telling McGregor: “Nah big dog you gonna put some respect on my name. We gonna find out Saturday night.”
The two will meet as the main event of UFC 329. No date or location was given in the announcement covered here, but the fight is positioned as McGregor’s return to the Octagon and a big matchup for both fighters.
Their history
McGregor and Holloway first fought in 2013, early in both of their UFC careers. McGregor won that fight by unanimous decision.
McGregor suffered a torn ACL during the 2013 fight. That injury kept him out of action for almost a year after the bout.
McGregor also mocks Nate Diaz
McGregor did not stop at Holloway. He also posted a dig at Nate Diaz after Diaz suffered a bloody TKO loss to Mike Perry at the MVP MMA: Rousey vs. Carano event.
McGregor and Diaz split their two meetings in the UFC and are 1-1 against each other. Despite Diaz being described as 41 years old and coming off a tough defeat, McGregor wrote that he still wants a third fight. He wrote: “I see why he didn’t take the fight lol. Anyway here’s to when I get my hands on you, you lanky streak of piss.”
