AEW star Wardlow will be one of the new Gladiators in the 2026 reboot of American Gladiators. He revealed his Gladiator name, shared a first look video, and teased the show ahead of its April 17 debut on Prime Video.
Wardlow debuts as “Fang”
Wardlow announced he will compete as “Fang.” He posted a short video on X showing himself and other competitors and wrote that he grew up watching the show. He said he is proud to be an American Gladiator and urged fans to get ready for the new season.
Other Gladiators and the host
The new Gladiators lineup includes several names from pro wrestling and sports-entertainment. AEW colleague Kamille will compete as “Hurricane.” Former WWE 24/7 Champion Eric “Rick Boogs” Bugenhagen is listed as “The Bull.” Jessie Godderz will appear as “Steel,” and Jessica Roden will be “Supernova.” The Miz will host the series.
Wardlow’s recent ring history
Wardlow is a former three-time TNT Champion in AEW. He has not wrestled since March 2024, when he challenged Samoa Joe for the AEW World Championship. Wardlow suffered a torn pectoral muscle last summer after returning from another long injury. He was backstage at Revolution earlier this month, but there are no reports yet about whether he is cleared to return to in-ring competition.
