ROH Men’s World Champion Bandido has not appeared in AEW since his loss to Andrade El Idolo at AEW Revolution on March 15. A visa problem has led to several cancelled U.S. appearances and has made his short-term plans unclear.
What happened after AEW Revolution
Bandido lost to Andrade El Idolo at AEW Revolution on March 15. He has not been seen on AEW television or at AEW events since that match.
He has also cancelled a number of independent appearances across the United States. Journalist Dave Meltzer reported the cancellations are due to a visa issue that still needs to be resolved.
The visa problem and recent rule changes
The visa situation has become more complicated after a recent ruling from President Donald Trump. The ruling changed how visas are handled for athletes competing in the United States, a move tied to the 2026 FIFA World Cup. All major U.S. sports leagues fall under the change, including AEW, WWE, and UFC.
The new rules appear not to apply to some visitors from Mexico. Because of that, and because the visa process itself has become more complex, it is unclear when Bandido will be able to return to work in the United States.
Possible short-term windows and future shows
There is a chance AEW fans could see Bandido soon. All of AEW’s shows in the first half of April take place in Canada, and Bandido would be allowed to perform in Canada even without a U.S. visa. That means he could, in theory, appear at the Dynasty pay-per-view on April 12 in Vancouver.
Outside of that April window, AEW’s next officially announced show outside the United States is All In London at Wembley Stadium on August 30. It seems unlikely AEW would wait that long to bring Bandido back if he is available, but the unresolved visa matter makes any plans uncertain.

Bandido remains ROH Men’s World Champion, and fans will be watching for updates on his visa status. If the paperwork is resolved quickly, a return on AEW’s Canada shows in April is possible. If not, the wait could stretch into the summer ahead of larger international events.
