Dani Luna Granted Release From TNA Wrestling, Becomes Free Agent

Dani Luna has asked for and received her release from TNA Wrestling. The 27-year-old is now a free agent after a run with the promotion that began in 2023.

Sources say Luna requested her release over the weekend and TNA granted it. The split is said to be friendly. Both sides left on good terms, and Luna is free to sign with other wrestling companies or work the independent scene.

Time in TNA and recent run

Luna joined TNA in 2023, a year after she left WWE. She had been part of WWE’s NXT UK from 2019 to 2022. In TNA, Luna had notable success in the Knockouts tag team division.

In 2024 Luna won the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championships twice. Both title reigns were alongside Jody Threat. After losing a tag team title match, Luna and Threat went their separate ways, and Luna moved into singles competition.

As a singles wrestler, Luna recently challenged for the TNA Knockouts World Championship in a match at TNA Sacrifice. She teamed with Lei Ying Lee in a challenge against champion Arianna Grace, but Arianna Grace retained the title at that event.
