Giulia is making waves on WWE SmackDown, pushing for bigger matches after a busy run that included the Women’s Royal Rumble and hard-hitting TV bouts.
Royal Rumble meeting with Asuka and IYO SKY
At the Women’s Royal Rumble in January, Giulia shared the ring with Asuka and IYO SKY. The three are among the most famous Japanese women in WWE. Giulia called the moment fun but not enough. She told the “Unlikely with Adrian Hernandez” podcast that facing them left her wanting more.
Giulia said, “Yeah, it was so fun. But it was so hard. But it’s not enough. Not enough. No, no, no, no, no… So, I’m expecting more and more and more and more.” She made it clear she wants more big matches with those stars.
Hard-hitting SmackDown match with Rhea Ripley
On the February 20 edition of SmackDown, Giulia and Rhea Ripley faced off in a physical match. The battle showed the power of both women. Giulia landed a heavy stomp that left Ripley with a bruised eye.
Giulia said she hurt Ripley out of respect, not malice. “I just show my respect for Rhea, and that’s it,” she said. “She’s strong. She’s amazing. She’s exactly [a] superstar.”
WrestleMania talk: Tiffany Stratton match expected
Backstage talk points to Giulia defending her United States Women’s Championship against Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 42. WWE had not officially announced the match at the time of the report, but plans are being discussed.
Giulia recently beat Tiffany Stratton on the March 27 edition of SmackDown. That win will add heat to any WrestleMania showdown between the two.
