MVP posted on social media that the Hurt Syndicate will be back on AEW television soon. He shared a photo of himself with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin walking down the ramp and told fans the group would resume action in the near future.
MVP’s social media update
MVP took to X to give fans an update. He wrote that the group is “back together in AEW” and said they will be back in action “SOON!” The post included a photo of MVP with Lashley and Shelton Benjamin walking down a ramp and the line “Hurting people!!! #wehurtpeople #fashionablyviolent.”
Where the Hurt Syndicate last appeared
The Hurt Syndicate last teamed up on an episode of AEW Dynamite in October. On that show they challenged The Opps for the AEW World Trios Championships.
Since then, Lashley and Benjamin have also faced each other in a major match. They both took part in the Casino Gauntlet match at AEW Full Gear to help determine the first AEW National Champion. That match put the two members opposite one another in the ring.
Injuries, reports and recent singles action
There have been mixed reports about Lashley’s health. At the end of 2025 some reports said he had suffered an injury and would be out for some time. Lashley denied those reports in an interview at the start of March, saying he was not hurt and that he wanted to target the World Trios Championships again with MVP and Benjamin.
While Lashley has been off television for some time, Shelton Benjamin has wrestled a few times. Benjamin entered the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal in December. He also wrestled on AEW Collision and lost a Continental Championship eliminator match to Jon Moxley on the January 7 edition of Dynamite.
What this means going forward
MVP’s post makes it clear the Hurt Syndicate plans to be active in AEW again. No date was given for their return. The Syndicate could target the World Trios Championships or other top groups when they are back on TV.
