Oba Femi says he is ready to move into the top ranks of WWE as older stars make way. He believes his time is coming and that he has already earned the trust needed to get there.
Femi on WWE’s veteran stars
Femi told a recent interview that the current main roster is led by long-time stars, but age will change that picture. He said, in simple terms, “Father Time always wins.” He pointed out that many veterans are in their mid-40s and suggested they are moving toward the end of their runs.
He named the familiar faces who currently headline shows. While those wrestlers still draw big attention, Femi said this is the moment for younger talent to step up and take their places.
Building trust from NXT to the main roster
The former NXT Champion said his work in NXT earned him trust. He mentioned the NXT Championship and several classic matches as proof he can perform at a high level. That history, he said, helped WWE officials see him as a long-term option.
Femi uses the nickname ‘The Ruler.’ He said he has built equity with fans and management. That track record, he believes, makes him a natural fit for bigger opportunities on the main roster.

World title chances and the next generation
When reminded that the last WWE star to win a world title in their 20s was the late Bray Wyatt, Femi said the odds are in his favor to do the same. He called himself young, spry and very hungry. He even compared his drive to that of older champions, saying he is hungrier than many 47-year-olds.
Femi also named other young wrestlers who could soon fight at the top of the card. He mentioned Dominik Mysterio and Bron Breakker as examples of peers who are close behind and likely to reach world title status soon.
Where he fits on the main roster
Femi admitted the main roster still features huge draws at the top. But he said his quick rise and the trust he built in NXT allowed him to move up fast. He believes the roster needs new faces to lead the next era, and he wants to be one of them.
He said he is ready for the challenge and for the chance to compete for a world title while he is still in his 20s.
