Paul Heyman says WWE should sign young star Zilla Fatu as soon as they can. Heyman made the comment while speaking about wrestling and talent on a recent podcast.
Heyman’s push for Zilla Fatu
Paul Heyman, now part of a new WWE group called The Vision, said he still follows big names and rising stars. On the “Muscle Memory with MuscleManMalcolm” podcast, Heyman said, “I think WWE would be remiss if WWE doesn’t sign Zilla [Fatu] at the very first opportunity to do so.”
Heyman also spoke about his past work with Brock Lesnar and his role in ending Lesnar’s recent partnership with Seth Rollins. Even though he is no longer linked to The Bloodline, Heyman gave a short, clear endorsement for adding Fatu to WWE’s roster.
Who is Zilla Fatu?
Zilla Fatu is 26 years old and comes from a wrestling family. He is the son of former WWE star Umaga and the great nephew of The Wild Samoans, Afa and Sika. He is known as “Main One” on the independent scene.
Fatu holds several titles on smaller wrestling shows. He is the heavyweight champion in 4th Rope Wrestling. He is one half of the World Tag Team Champions in Gremlin House Wrestling. He is a two-time Crown Jewel Champion in House of Glory. He also holds a Crown Champion title in the Noble Champions Group.
He is a former two-time Reality of Wrestling heavyweight champion. Reality of Wrestling is an independent promotion run by WWE Hall of Famer Booker T. That promotion has connections to WWE’s independent development program.
Promises and concerns
Many people see Fatu as a strong prospect for WWE. He has power, speed, and a clear family legacy in wrestling. Heyman’s public push adds weight to calls for WWE to take a closer look at him.
However, Fatu’s past behavior may worry WWE officials. Reports say he has a reputation for missing shows and being hard to work with. Those issues could slow or block a WWE deal if they are not addressed.
If WWE signs him, Fatu would add youth and family history to the roster. If not, he will likely remain a top name on the independent circuit where he already holds multiple titles.
What to watch next
Watch for any official comments from WWE or a signing announcement. Also watch Fatu’s bookings on the independent scene. How he handles his schedule and professionalism will matter as much as his in-ring skills.
