Monday Night RAW on March 23 in Boston finally felt like the real start of the road to WrestleMania 42. The show mixed hard-hitting promos and physical moments that raised the stakes for several big matches.
Promos That Raised the Stakes
Paul Heyman opened RAW with Brock Lesnar at his side. Heyman delivered a fiery speech aimed at Oba Femi and later fired another intense promo when he called out Seth Rollins. In that segment Heyman threatened legal action and made a shocking comment about adopting Rollins’ daughter. Those moments added heat to two separate feuds and gave both sides more edge heading into WrestleMania.
AJ Lee and Becky Lynch also turned up the intensity with strong promos. Lee boasted about her wins over Lynch while Lynch attacked the idea of the old Divas era. Their back-and-forth built more depth in the women’s rivalry and made their match feel more personal.
Big Brawls and Physical Moments
The show kept a good balance of talking and fighting. Oba Femi confronted Heyman and Lesnar and sent Lesnar flying out of the ring in a clear statement moment. Roman Reigns went after CM Punk late in the show and powerbombed him through the announce table. That attack made their WrestleMania match feel dangerous and real.
Liv Morgan and Stephanie Vaquer also fought hard. Their brawl spilled into the gorilla position and needed officials to pull them apart. It was one of the more convincing pull-apart fights on the show and it stood out because of its location.

What This Means for WrestleMania 42
RAW showed how weekly TV can build real excitement for WrestleMania. The mix of strong promos and dramatic brawls created momentum for matches on the card. If WWE keeps this level of intensity on RAW and SmackDown, WrestleMania 42 has a better chance to feel important and must-see.
There are still weaker angles on other shows, and creative needs fresh ideas each week. But this episode of RAW gave fans clear drama and memorable moments. That is the kind of build WWE should try to keep up through WrestleMania.
