Chelsea Green is healing well from an ankle injury she suffered in February and could be cleared to wrestle again soon. Backstage reports say she may return sooner rather than later, but it is not certain if she will be back before WrestleMania on April 18–19.
Injury details and timeline
Green injured her ankle during a match on WWE SmackDown that involved Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend. Early reports called the injury a strain, but Green later confirmed she had broken her ankle. She said the bone on the inner side of her ankle was chipped and cracked.
The injury happened in February. About two months later, sources backstage say she is recovering well and could be cleared for in-ring action soon. There is no official medical timeline public yet.
She kept appearing on TV and abroad
Despite the injury, Green was determined to stay visible. She continued to appear on WWE television and also worked in AAA. On WWE shows she has appeared at ringside alongside The Green Regime and was seen with Alba Fyre during Fyre’s matches.
Her decision to keep appearing helped maintain her character on TV while she recovered. That said, she did miss at least one AAA match. A substitute, La Hiedra, teamed with Ethan Page in Green’s place for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship defense.
AAA title change and recent match results
There was a title change in AAA while Green was out. Ethan Page and La Hiedra lost the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championships to Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice. That meant Green is no longer a champion in AAA while she rehabs.

Outlook toward WrestleMania
WrestleMania is scheduled for April 18 and 19. With that event under four weeks away from the most recent reports, it is unclear if Green will be cleared in time. Backstage people believe she could be ready “sooner rather than later,” but no official clearance has been announced.
Green is a former WWE United States Champion and has been open about her goal to return to the ring. For now, fans can expect to see her making on-screen appearances while medical decisions are finalized. Any official return date will likely come from WWE medical staff or company announcements.
