NFL legend Tom Brady has been teasing a WWE appearance, but veteran wrestler Tommy Dreamer says he is not sure how Brady will fit into the plans for WrestleMania. The build-up has stirred a lot of reaction inside wrestling circles.
Brady’s Comments and WWE Reactions
Brady has made several public shots at WWE, calling some wrestlers “cute and scripted.” Those comments upset many people in the company. Top stars have replied, and Seth Rollins publicly said Brady may not have the “guts” to step into a wrestling ring with him.
That back-and-forth has raised questions about what WWE wants to do with Brady. Is he there to be a guest, a heel, or to actually compete? So far, no clear plan has been announced.
Tommy Dreamer Weighs In
On the Busted Open podcast, Dreamer said he does not know how Brady fits in. He pointed out Brady’s ties to the Las Vegas Raiders and said that could shape fan reaction.
“He’s an owner or he’s involved with the [Las Vegas] Raiders, so if you put him out there in a wrestling crowd, I think he might get booed,” Dreamer said. He added that if a wrestler insulted the Raiders at a game, that wrestler would be a heel. “So Brady is kind of being this heel role, so I don’t know what they’re doing.”
Dreamer also questioned whether any celebrity of Brady’s size would want to lose on a big stage. “If Tom Brady’s secretly training, if Tom Brady’s doing all this stuff, do you think Tom Brady’s gonna want to lose in Allegiant Stadium in a match?” he asked. Dreamer said those business and image questions make the outcome tricky to figure out.
Match Possibilities and Other Voices
Fans and wrestlers have floated possible matchups. One idea mentioned is a match between Brady and Logan Paul. Dreamer said he is not sure that match will happen. Other WWE stars have dared Brady to show up and prove himself inside the ring, but no official match has been set.
The uncertainty comes with timing. WrestleMania is approaching, and WWE usually needs a clear story and payoff for any celebrity involvement. Dreamer stressed that the company must plan how the angle ends and how it serves their show.
Celebrity Spots: Jelly Roll Gets a Nod
While Dreamer is unsure about Brady, he did name one celebrity he believes has earned a WrestleMania spot. Dreamer said singer Jelly Roll deserves a match based on his promos and his ability to draw fans. He called Jelly Roll a talent who has earned consideration for “The Show of Shows.”
For now, WWE fans will keep watching social posts, interviews, and promos to see how the company builds the story. With questions still open, the main thing is whether WWE can create a believable and satisfying moment if Brady does appear.
