WWE SmackDown comes live on March 27, 2026, from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The show features Randy Orton’s return and several big matches and appearances in the women’s division.
Randy Orton Makes an Appearance
Randy Orton will appear on tonight’s show. Last Friday, Orton showed many sides of his personality. He told fans he loves them and said he plans to take the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42. Orton also attacked Matt Cardona and left him down after a surprise strike. Fans should expect more intensity when Orton speaks on SmackDown.
Women’s Division: Giulia, Tiffany Stratton, Ripley and More
Women’s United States Champion Giulia will have her first singles match since losing to Rhea Ripley by disqualification on the February 20 episode of SmackDown. Giulia will face former Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton in Pittsburgh.
Stratton recently beat Giulia’s ally Kiana James in a singles match on March 13. That win came despite a miscommunication between James and Giulia, which stemmed from the injured Chelsea Green.
Rhea Ripley will also appear on the show. Ripley had a tense face-to-face with Women’s Champion Jade Cargill last Friday. After that exchange, B-Fab and Michin attacked Ripley as new allies of Cargill.
In tag team action, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss will team up against Nikki Bella and Brie Bella. On March 13, Nikki and Brie interfered and cost Flair and Bliss a title shot. Last Friday, Flair and Bliss returned the favor by interfering in Nikki and Brie’s match.
Other Matches and Segments
Country singer and rapper Jelly Roll will compete in his second professional wrestling match. He faces Kit Wilson. Jelly Roll is in his first match since Night One of WWE SummerSlam on August 2, 2025. He and Wilson have had heated words in recent weeks, including a slam poetry contest last Friday.
Carmelo Hayes will bring back the US Open Challenge after recently defending his United States Championship. Hayes successfully defended the title against Ilja Dragunov during the US Open Challenge return last Friday. Tonight he will issue another open challenge to anyone backstage who wants to answer.
Nick Aldis will address the medical conditions of Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu. The two men spent much of last Friday’s show brawling and both fell off a high platform in the parking lot of the Lenovo Center. Aldis will update the crowd on their status.
