Tony D’Angelo says he could make NXT history if he wins the NXT Championship at the upcoming Stand & Deliver event.
D’Angelo’s milestone run
Tony D’Angelo has collected several NXT titles during his time on the roster. He has held the NXT Tag Team Championship twice. He also won the North American Championship and the Heritage Cup, with both of those title runs beginning in 2024.
On a recent podcast, D’Angelo was told he may be the only NXT star to have won the North American title, the Heritage Cup, and the NXT Tag Team titles. If he adds the NXT Championship, he would become the first NXT Grand Slam Champion.

D’Angelo spoke about the possibility on The Rich Eisen Show’s “No-Contest Wrestling” podcast. He said he was not sure if the claim that he has won more titles than anyone else in NXT is correct, but he called the idea “pretty cool.” He also noted fans on social media had been talking about him becoming the first NXT Grand Slam Champion if he wins the world title.

Stand & Deliver matchup
Stand & Deliver will feature a match for the NXT Championship. D’Angelo will team with Ricky Saints and Ethan Page to challenge the NXT Champion, Joe Hendry. If D’Angelo and his partners win and D’Angelo is pinned or submits Hendry, D’Angelo would capture the NXT Championship and complete the Grand Slam.
D’Angelo has been with NXT since 2021 and is one of the more experienced stars on the roster. He has not had an NXT title opportunity in nearly two years. His last shot at the NXT Championship came at the Stand & Deliver show in 2024, where he lost to Ilja Dragunov.
What to watch
Fans should watch how the three-on-one dynamic plays out against Joe Hendry. A win would be a major career milestone for D’Angelo and would put him in a rare spot in NXT history.
