Former UFC fighter Darren Till says a fight he was about to have in Dubai was canceled because of recent conflict in the Middle East.
Fight in Dubai Called Off
Till told TikTok creator Bobby Lad that he had a fight lined up in Dubai and it was only days from being announced. He said the announcement was about five or six days away when the bout was pulled.
Till said he had been eight weeks into a training camp when the news came and the fight was canceled. He now says he is “on the market” and available for new fights.
Regional Conflict Interrupted Plans
Till lives in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He told Bobby Lad he felt safe living there and plans to return. But he also said the wider conflict in the region affected the fight promotion and led to the cancellation.
Speaking about the situation, Till said the region was thrown into disarray after what he described as a joint military operation that killed Iran’s Supreme Leader and led to attacks on neighboring states and some Western allies. He said that, for worldwide reasons, the promoter pulled the planned event.
Till’s Recent Record and Background
Darren Till last fought in MMA under the UFC banner in December 2022. He lost that fight by submission to Dricus Du Plessis. That defeat marked another setback after earlier losses, including his 2018 title fight defeat to Tyron Woodley.
Since leaving the UFC cage, Till has boxed with Misfits Boxing. He beat former UFC champion Luke Rockhold to win the MFB Bridgerweight title last year.

What’s Next for Till
Till is now looking for his next fight. He confirmed the Dubai bout was off but did not name the opponent or a new date. He said he remains based in Dubai and will keep training.
There has also been outside interest in fights with Till. Strongman-turned-fighter Eddie Hall recently said talks could happen about a fight with Till. Hall is confirmed to fight Tommy Fury on June 13.
