Dana White has confirmed that the recent promo for the UFC: White House event, also called UFC Freedom 250, was made using artificial intelligence. He said the only real parts are the actual fight clips.
What Dana White said
On the Katie Miller podcast, White said the promo was created with AI. He told the host that the whole promo is AI and that even the voice saying his lines was generated by technology. He said his team made the promo without anyone going into a sound booth or doing on-camera work. According to White, the only real footage in the video is the fight clips.
White said: ‘The White House promo that we just did is AI. The whole promo is AI, even my voice isn’t my real voice. My guys put together the whole promo for the White House without one guy going into the sound booth; filming or anything. The only thing that’s real is the fight footage… It’s not the future, it’s now. It’s already happening.’
Fan reaction and controversy
The promo drew many complaints on YouTube. Fans said using AI for video and audio makes the product feel cheaper and less real. Comments on the promo page criticized the choice to use AI-generated visuals and voices instead of real production work.
Despite the backlash, White has not backed down. He suggested the company will continue to use AI tools in future promos. That stance has added fuel to a bigger debate about technology and authenticity in sports media.
About the event
The promo is for UFC Freedom 250, also called UFC: White House. The event lists a headline fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje. The promo title shows the main event as ‘Topuria vs Gaethje’ and gives the date as June 14th.
