The Street Profits are back on Raw after a long break from TV. Fans are excited, but this return may be their final chance to regain their top spot in WWE.
Their rise to the top
Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins first teamed in NXT in 2016 and became regulars in 2017. The pair quickly won over fans with high-energy entrances and fast in-ring work. Two years after their debut, they became NXT Tag Team Champions.
They were moved to Raw after the 2019 draft. Early in 2020, the Street Profits won the Raw Tag Team titles. Ford’s aerial moves and the team’s charisma made them crowd favorites. Even when they had no belts, the fans still cheered them for their energy and showmanship.
Problems and time away
Over time the team began to feel stale. WWE tried changing their image in 2023 by turning them heel and adding them to a group with Bobby Lashley called The Pride. That did not work. Fans continued to cheer for all three men.
The team won tag titles again in 2024 and 2025, but the momentum faded. Instead of reshaping them or giving them new directions, WWE quietly kept them off TV. The Street Profits disappeared from SmackDown in the fall of 2025 despite both men being healthy and ready to wrestle.
The only news about them during that time was a fan video from an NXT house show showing Ford with a different look. Ford joked about gaining weight. Bianca Belair later posted photos of the couple on Instagram with the caption, “Sorry for the (weight)… lol wait. I been feeding him good so I thought I would feed yall too.”
Return at Raw and what comes next
The Street Profits returned on the Raw after WrestleMania. Ford and Dawkins ran to the ring to save Seth Rollins from the Vision. They looked sharp, and Ford even showed his old shape again. They helped beat Logan Paul and Austin Theory.
Now they are back near the top of the tag division. Their first feud back is with the Vision, who hold the World Tag Team Championships. This is a good step, but it is not enough on its own. The Street Profits need a clear, long-term plan from WWE. They must win the gold and be built as a dominant team while also getting meaningful stories and challengers.
Why this matters
The Street Profits were once one of WWE’s most exciting tag teams. They still have the skills and the fan love. If WWE handles their return well, the tag division could become much better. If WWE does not follow through, this may be the last real chance for Ford and Dawkins to reach the top again.
Fans have supported the team for nearly a decade. Now, the Street Profits must turn this comeback into a lasting run. UFCcoverage hopes WWE gives them the chance they deserve.
